"I Killed a Camerahead"

When I was young, I wasn't crazy obsessed with creepypastas. I knew all the characters, and enjoyed listening to SomeOrdinaryGamers and others read them, but the only one I ever cared about deeply was Slenderman. Sometime in 2020, I learned of the lost creepypasta "I Killed a Camerahead." This particular creepypasta interested me so much, probably because it couldn't be found anymore. The story of Cameraheads has been lost, but some remember the basic details.

To the right are some of the screenshots from the story. The basic premise of "I Killed a Camerahead" is that a guy finds a bag or backpack, and in it is a busted camera, a tape, and a letter that says "I killed a camerahead." The protagonist then goes crazy after trying to find out what the hell a camerahead is. While the pasta has not been found, a version has been claimed to have been found. I will copy the post here, but you can also check out the website it was posted to here.

/x/ what’s a camerahead?

I was walking home through a nearby gully and came across a weird stack of rocks and a torn envelope with some writing on it. It appeared to have been written in charcoal or ash.

It said, “I KILLED A CAMERAHEAD” on the next line “IT TOOK TREVOR” and the last line “GET HELP IF I DON’T COME BACK”

and there was a miniDV nearby. this was all that was on it besides static, though i had to watch it a few times before i found this clip.

Who took this video? A camerahead sounds really silly if it’s a monster with a camera for a head

It is disputed whether or not the post above was the original Cameraheads post or not. Many people remember there being many posts and a bigger story than just the post. Plus, many remember the character finding a backpack, not just an envelope and a camera. If this isn't the whole creepypasta, I hope it is soon found. This story is super interesting and I hope to read the whole thing someday.
